Meh, trace, copy, who cares. You're building foundations on skill, and if these people can't deal with it, then screw em. Everyone takes something from someone, be it little or a lot. Be proud of what you do with your hands and don't let anyone get to you. Keep in mind half of these people must look at something to model off of as they draw, be it a peice of art, anime, movie, manga or human. Unless they sit there and think up something that's not existing, there isn't a damn thing they can say. Also, stating the "fair use act" , as long as you change 60% of something, you can call it yours, drawing something yourself that you looked at, unless it's photo-realistic stroke per stroke, it's considered your own work by law. I'm tired of these pretentious muckity-mucks who call themselves artist. A true artist does art for themselves first, others later. If someone copys you, you should take it as a friggin' complement and not whine like people expect from artists. Geez, some people should grow as set of balls.

You know, I like getting comments, especially those that point out why is my art so "cool". However I'm realizing that yours is just a copy-paste of what you've said to many other people, and I do not like that, 'cuz in my opinion you left a comment only to notice yourself to the known artists. In fact. When you asked us to let you know "out there". Dear friend, it took me 3 years to be as "popular" as I am today (and believe me when I say I'm NOT that popular), no one helped me, and no one ever gave me permission to copy someone's art just to get better. I woked hard, killed my patience and even eyes, sat on a hard and uncomfortable chair for HOURS on a daily basis to be as good as I am now. I worked hard, and did all of this BY MYSELF. I really don't see why should I help you. I would if AT LEAST you had many colored and original works. *underline "many"*
Also. It might help, and I don't have anything against that, but if you copy something by looking at it, do not show it around and especially not without permission from the artist. Copying something, it's also huge unoriginality.

So, I'm sorry to say, my first impression of you is not positive. Work hard, kill your spine drawing 5+ hours a day if you wanna be known around. So that mine, and many other people's opinion might change.

On a final note, you have potential and own the natural skills to become an awesome artist. All you have to do is hard work, LOADS of patience and respect for others, especially those artists you like and admire.

Even if you dont trace work, its still copying someone else's work, and its not your own. Id really suggest to just wait until you do have some originals and post those like your friend is doing.

Alright i'm here, i'm checking it out, and from what i see from what raya said i don't like. Also i am NOT a place to advertise others. If YOU want to get your name out there. do it the hard way like everyone else. and that is. do it on your OWN.

This is Matt, I am very sorry to Raya for not asking to draw her pictures. To set the record straight though I DO NOT TRACE I look at the picture and then draw it.
So please do not think that I(Matt) trace. Chris does draw original art but my original art is not that good so I dont post them. I am getting better. We do not have a good program for coloring therefore they are just pencil drawings, but a good program is coming soon.

If you want to get your name out there so much, then you could start by drawing original stuff.
I DO NOT apreciate it when people TRACE or COPY other artists works without even asking for permission first! And in this case [link] you didn't asked for permission... I understand that you want to improve but copying other people works is not the best way. I'm extremely offended with the work that I pointed above, mainly because I've putted effort and work to draw it [ [link] ] ,and now I see my effort going down the crapper...

Thanks for the fav I'd like your art better if there's more colored works and some of the pics weren't just traced X3 Tracing is a good way to learn to draw. I did that 3 years ago and it worked. DA is still for original works only
